Click on one of the following problems to see the tricks :
01. The Polaris is slow.
1. Adjust the suction using the fl ow tester supplied with the
appliance (use the valves in the plant room or a skimmer
valve).
2. Test the suction only when the required number of hoses,
for the size of the pool are connected.
02. The ATV does not move backwards or does not climb
the sides.
1. Use the fl ow tester to check that the suction is correct.
2. Replace standard tyres with tyres for tiled surfaces.
03. Suction is too weak.
1. Ensure the pump is delivering at least 12 m3/h.
2. Clean the skimmer baskets, sand fi lter or fi lter unit and
the pump basket.
3. Make sure the ATV is not in reverse cycle (blue fl ap valve
located beneath the top turbine, open), if it is, slow speed and
low suction are normal.
4. Close the other suction valves (skimmer, main drain).
04. Suction is too high.
1. Use the fl ow regulator to obtain the setting desired (the
regulator is installed between the weir adaptor and the first
hose section).
2. Open the other suction valves (skimmers, main drain).
05. The cleaner stops moving.
1. Make sure the fi ltration system is running and that the valve
of the Polaris is open (vacuum point or skimmer).
2. Check that no large pieces of debris are blocking the turbine
in the suction chamber located beneath the ATV.
3. Check that debris is not blocking the “hammer” in the main
suction chamber of the 140.
4. Ensure debris blocking the suction “by-pass” of the 140.
06. The cleaner does not move around the whole pool.
1. Turn the 140’s “directional disk” the opposite way.
2. Make sure the supply hose is the correct length.
3. Check the appliance’s displacement speed.
07. The ATV remains “stuck” on a sharp corner of the
pool.
1. Reduce the suction to the minimum level on the suction
tester.
08. The ATV slides over the tiled surfaces.
1. Use special tyres for tiled surfaces.
